Check out what was #MadeInWroclaw

Today we had an opportunity to meet some of our Made in Wrocław Startups.

We saw a few initiatives (like https://rezerwujsport.pl/) from a great project which make our city smarter 😉

We met a few young inventors and entrepreneurs with their projects started at Politechnika Wrocławska

It’s great to see that many resourceful people in Wrocław.

#TCDisrupt

Techcrunch Disrupt Berlin 2017 has gone to an end, but I can still feel the positive atmosphere !

It’s hard to describe all the vibes and all the energy of all those start-ups gathered under one roof!

For those young entrepreneurs who consider whether or not it’s worth attending such events – YES,IT IS, for sure.

First of all, gather some ideas.

It’s a great opportunity to check out what are other start-ups working on right now. Try to talk to as many of them as you can! They are all very open and will tell you all about their ideas and how things are going for them right now. You both benefit from those talks! These people love what they do and they want to turn you into an ambassador of their ideas 🙂 Let them do so! Like I did! Let me introduce a few of them to you:

#BeeVeryCreative

Meet @Aurora Baptista and her absolutely beautiful 3d printer! Look at it! It looks like well designed modern coffee machine! I loved it!

And as I’ve learned, you can use various types of materials; some mixed with 30% of wood, some mixed with metals so your printed gadgets and prototypes can be beautiful and tough.

As #BeeVeryCreative offers you extended warrantyyou can now keep it in your #KeepWarranty app! Created by another start-up from the alley 🙂 Best wishes in your project @Maria Joao Seabra

Second Learn.

Don’t hesitate to ask!

Learn from them! Gather the ideas and ask about their mistakes! Ask about their strategy! Listen to some advice about founding.

Techcrunch was a great opportunity to learn more about bitcoins and hear from the start-ups how to prepare white-paper if you want to go with ICO, instead of finding your Angel, or cooperate with a VC. Find out about their ideas for advertising! They are all willing to help you to start 🙂

I was collecting those marketing tips for myself. A bunch of them was about social media marketing, so don’t spare your likes!

Third – The energy

If you are just starting, you may still have some doubts about the usefulness of your great solutions; observe them how they are selling themselves! Positive energy and self-confidence are crucial to your success.

Fourth – Practice!

You will be asked quite frequently „And you, why are you here?”. This is your chance to practise your elevator pitch! Techcrunch disrupt is not the kind of event where you just pop-in for a sec just because you were crossing byIf you’re there, that means that you have a goal, and depending what that goal is, you have several options:

  • If you are a student and just gather information or seek an inspiration for your master’s thesis, talk about that and ask for advice! (Shuang, Mi, Louis let me know how techcrunch turned out for you! Best wishes!)
  • If you have an idea, but you’re not sure how to start, talk about it! Try to convince anyone you can, that your solution is going to change the world and observe how your story evolves!
  • If you have a product, use the opportunity to advertise it! Even if it’s not your target group, try to „sell it” and ask for comments and feedback, but don’t forget to give some from yourself! Start-ups from the alley want to improve their products also, so if you have any useful idea on how to help them, share it. If you know other companies with similar solutions give them the names, they should know who their competitors are.

And a tip from me, prepare yourself a catchy t-shirt, advertising your product 😉 It’s easier to start a conversation.

P.S.

Give me some time to arrange business cards and I will try to introduce to you more start-ups from the alley!
